The document is a resource for policymakers, advocates, and stakeholders that provides key context for the importance of paid safe leave, this document includes model policy language for providing paid safe leave, which can be used directly or adapted to appropriate contexts.

The Economic Security of Older Women in Maine: A Data Report
This brief was developed by the Cutler Institute of Health and Social Policy, through a partnership between the Maine Women’s Lobby, the Maine Council on Aging, and the Maine Health Access Foundation. It reviews the lifetime disparities that women in Maine face, which result in higher rates of poverty and need for long-term services in their older years.

Racial Disparities in Prenatal Access in Maine
In 2021, the Maine Permanent Commission on the Status of Racial, Indigenous, and Tribal Populations was directed to conduct a study on disparities in access to prenatal care in Maine. The Commission contracted with MWL Education Fund to convene a steering committee, work with the Cutler Institute of Health Policy at the Muskie School of Public Health, and manage the creation of this report on behalf of and in partnership with the Commission.
