Every year, our participants build the skills, knowledge, and confidence for taking action and leadership in their communities and Maine. Girls’ Day has given young girls and gender-expansive people the resources to work toward improving their communities in Maine.
MWLEF invites you to support the empowerment of 150 8th grade students by sponsoring the 28th Girls’ Day at the Statehouse.
We hope you will join us as we welcome another cohort of participants who will become the future of Maine. Girls’ Day participants from every county in Maine will spend the month participating in online sessions that include panels, small group sessions, workshops, and mock committee hearings with policymakers, lobbyists, and legislators.
To learn more about this beloved program’s most recent results, see our 2023 Girls' Day at the State House & Youth Policy Leadership Forum Report.
We also have planned two in-person events in March at the Statehouse and at the Blaine House for Tea with the Governor in the spring.
Thank you for considering sponsoring youth civic education!
