Paid Leave Coalition Day at the Statehouse

The Maine Paid Leave Coalition came together for the 30th anniversary of the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) - the federal policy that allows eligible workers to take leave without pay and return to their job. To celebrate this milestone, the Coalition demanded that it is time for more! Partners called on the Maine Legislature to forward the recommendations of the Commission to Develop a Paid Family and Medical Leave Benefits Program and pass a Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML) system.  These recommendations will be incorporated into a bill that will be released later in the session. To get involved visit the Maine Paid Leave Coalition's Take Action page.
