For more than 35 years, the Maine Women’s Lobby has been an advocate on the issues affecting the lives of Maine women and girls. We work to create a future that is free from violence, free from discrimination, with access to health care, and real economic security.
Our Four Focus Areas
Maine women will be able to meet their basic needs, access education & job training programs, and employment. Workplace policies in our state and nation will reflect the realities of families in the 21st century.
Access to Health Care
Maine women will have access to high quality and affordable mental and physical health care, including reproductive health care.
Civil Rights and Freedom from Discrimination
Maine women will not be discriminated against on the basis of gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, age, disability, religion, etc.
Freedom from Violence
Maine women will lead safe and secure lives, free of violence, harassment, or sexual assault.
